Artist's Comments

On a trip down a small river branching from the mighty Amazon River, our little canoe got stuck on the shallow part of the "stream". Our guide tried desperately to get us out to the deeper part by accelerating the motor. As a result, the smoke from the motor clouded the air behind us creating this sweet effect as the light penetrated the dense foliage. I took the picture and here it is as a sequel to my other shot, Penetrate.
