Futebol de Praia (port.: "Beach Soccer")

I took this down on the Ipanema beach (close to Leblon), while spending my spring break in Rio de Janeiro with my brother, his wife, and a good friend of ours.

The great thing about these beaches in Rio, is that no matter where you go, there's always something to photograph: people playing soccer by the waterside, others in a game of beach volleyball, surfers taking on the waves, and so on. I wish I could have spent more time down there to get better shots, but the 7 days were really worthwhile. I loved it!

Now, I'm looking forward to my next visit and possibly a longer visit. :)

Hm, the mist, and lens flare in the corner go nicely with the sort of faded look in some areas. I like the overall tone of this picture too. It all goes together quite nicely. The people playing soccer also give it an easy-going feeling.

beautiful scene. i love how everything is silouetted ( especially the kid kicking the ball:thumbsup: ) and the lighting with the mist looks beautiful:aww: Nice work :thumbsup:

I see you've enhanced the tone once again. . . . but just right.
I love the mist and the magic hour feel of these. . colors are beautiful.
I've always wanted to go to Brazil, and images like these just worsen the itch! hehe.

The silhouettes of everying really ads to the peace; the mountains, the people, the cityscape within that mist. Amazing capture. I really like the one kicking the ball and how the sign points in that direction.
