Artist's Comments

most of us hate flies, but some are impressed when they see a fly close up. Their eyes are fascinating and their bodies sometimes have a cool metallic look to them.

Well, I found this fly on a rose bud the other day and was intrigued by the contrast of the beauty of the rose and the ugliness of the fly.. hence the title.

I tried getting closer but then the fly flew away. oh well.
